Energy Prices (Early March 2017)

Electricity:  

Helped by Storm Doris, wind power accounted for more than 20% of UK supply in the last week of February. This, alongside a sharp increase in power imports, pulled Day-ahead prices down significantly, briefly below £43.5/MWh their lowest level since December.

Gas: 

Four LNG cargoes are expected to dock in the UK in March, some predict that this could be the start of a crescendo of deliveries into the spring and summer as Asian demand and prices fall.
